THE Hills Women’s Hockey Association recorded several wins in the Country Week championships.
Held at Perth Hockey Stadium on June 17 to 19, four teams competed in the event.
Division 2 won four out of five games and finished fifth on percentage. Best player was Nyree Brown while Jo Trembath was runner-up.
In division 4, the team won three out of five games and won the playoff game to finish fifth. Julie-Ann Ogilvie beat Tina Dutton for the best player award. While division 5 played hard, they were unable to win any games.
The best player was Melissa Leeder, beating Kasey Mitchell.
The Masters team had one win, a draw and three losses. The best player was Deb Foley and Jo Case was the runner-up.
Pat Halden, Helen Johansen and Nyree Brown, have been selected in the state team for the national Masters championships in Canberra this October.
