A BIG demand for services at Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park has been addressed with the opening of a second chapel and crematorium.

Local Government Minister John Castrilli said the first chapel was unable to cope with bookings.

Opened to the public in 1978, Pinnaroo has grown from a small memorial park in the then developing northern corridor to a major cemetery.

The new facility is a mirror image of the first chapel and condolence lounge.

Mr Castrilli officially opened the building this afternoon.
