The Rocky Horror Show

IF there is one show you should see this year, it’s The Rocky Horror Show.

I went to Melbourne last weekend with my friend for her birthday, after scoring cheap flights, and decided to buy her a ticket to the show as a gift.

It was a complete surprise and I told her on the way to the theatre - she was thrilled!

The show was one of the best I have seen in awhile, and the actors really got the audience in a party mood with their lively dancing and singing.

Not to mention their hilarious transvestite jokes and tight lingerie costumes they all wore - including the men.

The performances were outstanding, and the main characters could certainly belt out a tune.

Rocky didn’t disappoint, and his body was a hot piece of eye candy for all the women in the audience (including myself!)

One of my favourite parts in the production was when Franky performed his ‘Sweet Transvestite’ song, beginning in a long silver coat, only to rip it off to reveal a corset and fishnet scantily clad body. He then proceeded to prance all over the stage in his high heels - in true transvestite fashion!

At the end of the night, fireworks exploded and confetti fell from the ceiling, before the cast got everyone on their feet to do the ‘Time Warp’.

And after a few cocktails during intermission, I was quickly at it with my mate, dancing the night away!

Rumours have it that the show is coming to Perth - so I recommend you keep an eye out, as it’s not to be missed.

Just a hint - if you really want to get in the mood, dress up in full Rocky Horror costume - many from the audience did this and if I had of thought of it, I would have too!
